Sarah Abdullah, who is the daughter of former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah met Sachin Pilot, son of late Rajesh Pilot while they were studying abroad. The duo fell in love and despite objections from the Abdullahs went ahead with their wedding in 2004.
Sachin and Sarah belonged to different religious backgrounds as Sachin was from a Hindu family while Sarah was a Kashmiri Muslim. The couple did not let the ideological and religious differences come in their way and the two went ahead with their wedding.
