New DelhiSachin Pilot, the President of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee has been appointee as deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan. He was born on September 7, 1977, to senior politician Rajesh and Rama Pilot. An admirer of Shooting and Squash Sachin is an Alumni of Delhi University’s prestigious college, St Stephens, IMT Ghaziabad and the Wharton School.

Sachin Pilot has worked for General Motors and Delhi Bureau of the British Broadcasting Corporation.

In 2004 Pilot married Sara Abdullah, daughter of Farooq Abdullah, ex-Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. The same year Sachin started his political career contesting for the post of Lok Sabha MP from Dausa. In that General Elections, he registered a win to become the youngest MP!

In the General Elections of 2009 Pilot won the Ajmer Lok Sabha seat defeating Kiran Maheshwari.

He served as Union Minister of State, Communications and Information Technology(2009-2012) and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Corporate Affairs(2012-2014) under the Manmohan Singh government.

On December 11, 2018 the Chief of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee won the Tonk constituency in the State Assembly Elections defeating the BJP hope Yoonus Khan by more than 50000 votes.

Sachin Pilot was the strongest contender to become the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan. However, Ashok Gehlot was elected as CM and Pilot as his deputy.
