Saudi Arabia consulate office in Bengaluru soon, says ambassador

Bengaluru: Saudi Arabian Ambassador Doctor Saudi Mohammed Alsati met with the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy at Vidhan Saudha on Tuesday. After the meeting both the leaders agreed to open a consulate office in Bengaluru shortly.

Mohammed Alsati stated that nowadays several people are traveling from the Karnataka to Saudi Arabia. Bengaluru is a crucial place for the people traveling to our country and the number of people seeking Saudi visas has doubled in the past.

“In order to meet the demands of people, we have decided to open a consulate office in Bengaluru,” said Mohammed Alsati.

He further added that a hundred years back a Bengaluru based woman had opened a girl school in Mecca. Alsati later requested the government that he would be grateful if the state government shares her descendants’ information with the Saudi Government.

Saudi Government has decided to honor the family of the school teacher.
