Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ based on the surgical attacks of 2016, head start their opening day collection by earning Rs 8.2 crore at the box office. The movie observes a growth of 51.59% on its day 2 collection as it successfully collected Rs 12.43 crore, which brings up the total at Rs 20.6 crore.
Vicky Kaushal starrer, released on Friday, has believed to witness a growth in its earning following the weekends and festive days and the movie lived upto its expectations. According to early estimates, the movie has reportedly earned Rs 15 crore (approx) on Sunday, thus taking its total to Rs 35 crore in just 3 days of its release.
The Accidental Prime Minister box office collection Day 3: The movie steadies its ship
The film starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina, sheds light on the numerous terrorist attacks that took place on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LOC), which eventually prompted the government to plan the surgical strikes.
We meet a very motivated major Vihaan Singh Shergill played by Vicky Kaushal, actor Paresh Rawal is seen as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, while Yami Gautam portrays the role of an intelligence officer.
Uri, based on the Indian military’s cross border operation, has been received well by the audience and film fraternity. Critics looked divided in their opinion about this military drama. Filmmaker Karan Johar watched the movie and was in awe of both Kaushal and director Aditya Dhar.
Uri has been released along with Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer The Accidental Prime Minister and reportedly Uri has dominated the Anupam Kher starrer in terms of box office collection.
