VitaminWater a mineral water based company has announced a challenge for smartphone users. According to the challenge if one can go without a smartphone for a year they would get a huge sum of $100,000.
The company announced the mammoth prize-moneyed contest on Twitter, running the hashtag #NoPhoneForAYear.

What are the rules of the game?
Firstly, the entrants must rush to Twitter/Instagram and share how they would spend the year without the smartphone. Entries, which must be submitted before Jan 8, will be judged on the basis of creativity and humour. The contest is open to all United States residents belonging to an age group of 18 and above.

The company will choose the contestant on January 22; After which the candidate will be asked to sign a contract, details of which are currently not in the public domain.
In case the candidate, who will be provided with a 1996 cell phone, manages to survive just for 6 months, their efforts would still be acknowledged and a reward of $10,000 will be given to them.
Desktop computers are allowed but any device on which a candidate can swipe or scroll would be prohibited.
According to the company, the contest would be the one which would break people’s monotonous routines with smartphones.
