Saudi police on Tuesday announced that they had arrested a 14-year-old boy, who appeared in a viral video dancing on a main road in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Police spokesman, Colonel Ati bin Atiya al-Qarshi, said that the “accused” had been arrested after relevant evidence was found against him and the “confidential investigations” were completed.
The video shows the boy standing in front of a row of cars on a crossing on Riyadh’s Prince Mohamed bin Abdulaziz Road and doing the Macarena, a mid-1990s dance phenomenon.
He appears to dance and tries to stop the traffic.
The video first surfaced online in 2016 but was removed later. It has been taken in good humour by the Twitterati.
As the news of his arrest was revealed, users expressed their surprise.
