A two-judge bench of Justices Vinod Goel and S Muralidhar pronounce Sajjan Kumar as guilty, sentencing him a life-term in their verdict in the case related to the killing of five people in the Delhi Cantonment area following the assassination of Indira Gandhi on October 31, 1984.

Cham Kaur prosecution’s witness had said that she saw Kumar telling a mob near Sultanpur that the Sikhs had killed our mother.

The convicts had challenged their sentence by the trial court in 2013.

After the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, 3000+ people were killed by mobs.
