New Delhi: Two female resident doctors of Safdarjung hospital were allegedly assaulted and accused of “spreading coronavirus” outside their residence in Gautam Nagar area, late on Wednesday night.
According to the reports, the incident took place around 10 pm, when the two doctors had stepped out to buy fruits.
“A middle-aged man created a ruckus and started questioning the doctors for stepping out of their house. He accused them of spreading coronavirus as they were coming from Safdarjung hospital,” said Dr Manish, president of Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) of Safdarjung hospital.

When the doctors responded, the man allegedly slapped one of the doctors and hit the other doctor on his hand. “We are filing a police complaint. MLC has been done,” Dr Manish added.
