2021 Maruti Suzuki Alto: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has been selling Alto since September 2000. The first model was built on the fifth-generation Japanese Alto but the second generation which was available in October 2012 was made in India. Alto has been one of the most used and successful cars in the domestic car market.
Currently, Alto is available between Rs. 2.99 lakh and Rs. 4.87 lakh and has remained the best seller for years. STD, LXi, VXi, and VXi Plus trims are some models available for the consumers. The car is available in both petrol and CNG. However, in April 2020 Maruti Suzuki discontinued the K10 version of the Alto because of stringent BSVI emission standards.
It had a 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine that produced 90 Nm of peak torque and 67 bhp maximum power paired with a five-speed MT. Currently, Maruti Suzuki is working on new models for a better reach and it is expected to include the next generation Alto.

As per reports, Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the second generation Celerio and the new Alto which was recently tested was the first time. Talking about the new Alto, it will have a longer wheelbase compared to the previous model.
During the test, Alto was covered in black color, however, it was a little similar to the silhouette as the door handles were regular and other features like Outside Rear View Mirrors, indicators, headlamps were also familiar. On the other hand, the tail lamp appeared different it was more rectangular and the bumper also had reflectors.
More details of the new Alto will be out soon. There might be changes in the front grille, front bumper, and car interiors. Apart from that, the Indo-Japenese company has also worked on engine and safety quotient.
