In an appalling incident that resurfaced in east Delhi’s Trilokpuri, a 22-year-old man lost his life for intervening in a fight between a minor and his cousin.
The victim identified as Akash Kumar, died on Saturday, days after being stabbed multiple times by a 16-year-old boy from his locality.
Akash Kumar had gone to resolve a fight between the accused and his cousin over a cricket match. However, it did not go well with the juvenile, who later came back to the ground with a kitchen knife and stabbed Kumar multiple times.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital under the critical condition where he was under observation, but ultimately he died on Saturday.
Indian Penal Code Section 302 has been added under the FIR and appropriate legal action was being taken. The locals informed the cops and a case was registered under sections of Indian Penal Code and the juvenile was sent to a correction home.
