3-year-old girl’s video goes viral as she wails to be with quarantined mom-nurse

Belagavi: A video of the 3-year-old daughter of a nurse is going viral as she is wailing to meet her mother who has been put under quarantine for 14 days. The video is breaking the hearts of everyone on social media.

Sugandha Korikoppa, a staff nurse at one of the district-designated hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients has been placed under quarantine for 14 days and has not gone home for 11 days.

Sugandha’s young daughter has been going to bed crying every night as she cannot meet her mother. Sugandha’s husband Santosh brought their daughter Aishwarya to the hospital so that she could see her mother for a few minutes from the entrance. He parked his bike outside and called Sugandha on her mobile phone.

This heart-tugging video clip has gone viral. On watching the video, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa too who was moved, immediately contacted Sugandha over the phone and tried to bolster her confidence while appreciating her noble service in the COVID ward.

Sugandha, a staff nurse working in the COVID-19 ward of Belagavi district hospital, has just completed one week of the quarantine period.

In the video, Sugandha was seen rushing out of the hospital and standing near the entrance as she had to maintain social distance.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya began to cry and pleaded with her mother to come home with them. Sugandha too started weeping too as she neither could go near her daughter nor explain the situation too.
