84-year-old retired Brigadier General of Indian Army found dead at his Noida residence

The deceased identified as Sher Singh Rathore is survived by three daughters who are based in the US.

The dead body of an 84-year-old retired Brigadier General of Indian Army was found in a decomposed state on Wednesday from his house in Noida Sector 37. Police officials said that the former officer lived alone and was ill from past few months.

As quoted by the reports, the deceased has been identified as Sher Singh Rathore. “Rathore is survived by three daughters who are based in the US.

He had a caretaker, 22-year-old Ankit, who used assist him in daily activities. When he opened the door of the flat on Wednesday morning, he found Rathore’s body lying on thee floor. He also experienced foul smell coming from his room.“ Around 7 am on Wednesday, a pungent smell was emanating from the house and upon opening the door, I found him lying on the floor and immediately informed police” said Ankit.

Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector 39 police station told that the caretaker had informed them about the dead body.

As of now, the police has ruled out any chances of foul play as the officials did not find any injury marks on the body. There is a possibility that the man had died because of a heart attack. The actual reason behind the death can only be ascertained after post-mortem reports.
