9-year-old Indian origin girl in Dubai wins $1 Million jackpot

Lotteries are purely based on luck and if you’re lucky enough there is a possibility of winning big. This is what happened with a 9-year-old Indian origin in Dubai. She recently won a $1 million (6.9 crore) jackpot in Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire lottery.

As per the reports, the lottery draw took place at Dubai International Airport and the girl, Eliza M was picked as the jackpot winner.

The girl’s father bought the lottery ticket, he hails from Mumbai and is living in Dubai from the past 19 years. He said he has been a regular participant in Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire promotions for the past 15 years.

Earlier also the girl won a luxury car McLaren Coupe in 2013 draw of Duty-Free promotions. Now this year the girl became the 140th Indian national to win a million dollars in the Dubai lottery.

The final list of winners, which were announced in Dubai Duty-Free’s Finest Surprise Promotion, included another Indian named Mohammed Haneef Adam, an Indian national living in Dubai for the past 20 years. He took home an Indian Scout Bobber motorbike.

Adam said in a statement “I am thrilled to have won such a beautiful motorbike. I can’t wait to get my hands on this.”
