BJP’s chances of forming Govt at the centre rest on its performance in Madhya Pradesh

As per the latest survey of ABP News-Lokniti CSDS, the incumbent BJP in Madhya Pradesh is likely to win the upcoming assembly elections. Kamal Nath led state Congress is expected to be in the opposition for another term.

The pre-election survey predicts the BJP to overcome 15 years of anti-incumbency, and come back in the state again with a minor majority. The Saffron party will win 116 seats and conversely, Congress will obtain 105 constituencies. Other parties and independents would win around 9 assembly seats.

The survey done by news channel ABP News was conducted in collaboration with Lokniti-CSDS in the final week of October 2018. The sample size was 14,092, combined in the three states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The voting will take place on November 28 in Madhya Pradesh along with Mizoram and results will be declared on December 11.
