After Sri Devi, Rekha, and Reena Roy, Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor is all set to step her foot in the ‘Naagin’ world. Kapoor on Wednesday announced her next project/film. She has said yes to a three-film series based on the shape-shifting snake.
Confirming the same, Shraddha said in a statement, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring, and idolising Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore. It’s like playing an iconic character, which has always been so fascinating for the audience…”

‘Naagin‘ will be directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under his home banner Saffron Broadcast & Media Ltd.
Dwivedi is best known for co-producing films like “Veere Di Wedding” starring Kareena Kapoor, Shikha Talsania, Sonam K Ahuja, and Swara Bhasker, and Salman Khan’s “Dabangg 3”.
The makers are planning to mount the trilogy with VFX and special effects. The last time Shraddha Kapoor played a character with supernatural powers was in Raj & DK’s hit horror-comedy Stree (2018).
Followed by the announcement, Shraddha Kapoor’s fans have started the trend #ShraddhaKapoor on the microblogging Twitter. Her fans are expressing their excitement to see her in Indian Folklore.
