Ajay Devgn Remembers His Father Veeru Devgan On Guru Purnima

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, actor Ajay Devgn remembers his father Veeru Devgn and call his teachings as a badge of honour.

Guru Purnima is celebrated to express acknowledgement towards gurus or teachers for their wisdom, knowledge and for showing the right path to students. On this auspicious day, people wish their gurus and be grateful for their teachings.

Ajay Devgn took to his social media and dropped a throwback picture with his father, veteran filmmaker Veeru Devgan and wrote, “Saluting my father (Veeru Devgn), my Guru, on this auspicious day. I was fortunate to get my life and career lessons from him. A valued gift that I carry with me like a badge of honour #GuruPurnima”

Late Veeru Devgan was an action choreographer, actor and film director who worked on more than 200 films.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ajay Devgn will next seen in a series of releases, such as Bhuj: The Pride of India, Sooryavanshi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Maidaan, Thank God and Mayday.

Abhishek Dudhaiya directorial Bhuj: The Pride of India, is set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, it is about the life of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, the then in-charge of the Bhuj airport who, with his team, reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 women from the local village Madhapar.

The film features Ajay Devgn as Karnik, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, Pranitha Subhash and Ihana Dhillon.

The epic war drama will stream from 13 August 2021 on Disney+Hotstar.
