Moments after Devendra Fadnavis sworn-in as Maharashtra Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy CM, NCP supremo claimed that Ajit Pawar’s decision to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra Government was his “personal decision and not that of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). ”

Maharashtra Governor B.S. Koshyari on Saturday morning administered the oath of office to Bharatiya Janata Party leader Devendra Fadnavis as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar as the new Deputy Chief Minister.
The two were sworn-in at a function in the Raj Bhavan held around 8 AM in the presence of a few BJP and NCP leaders, and other government officials.
Reacting on the stunning political development, Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut said, “This is cheating. Ajit Pawar has back-stabbed the people of Maharashtra.”
