AM Ariff, the CPI(M) leader and Alappuzha Member of Parliament, was injured in a car accident in Cherthala on Thursday. At around 11:45 a.m., the incident occurred near KVM Junction.
Alappuzha MP’s car collided with the back of a trailer. He was the only one in the car. The impact of the crash trapped the MP inside the car, and the fire department arrived and pulled him out. The police arrived as well.
He was later rushed to a private hospital in Cherthala. According to reports, his condition is now stable. He sustained leg injuries, and the front end of his car was severely damaged.
