Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s onscreen pairing has always created wonders at the box-office. Together, they have given us hit films like Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Now, they will be seen romancing each other again in Kalank, which is a period drama from the Dharma stable.
As the actors have been busy promoting the film in full swing, on Sidharth Kannan’s radio show, the host asked them if they have ever had a crush on each other. Varun looked at Alia and urged her to go first. Alia, who couldn’t stop smiling said, ”There’s no need to talk about who all we had a crush on in life. List bahut lambi hai, at least meri toh bahut lambi hai.”
Varun interrupted her and said, “Meri nahi hai lambi. I think it’s a friendship. When you are very fond of someone, I think there’s a lot of care and there’s a lot of respect.” A surprised Alia replied,” You think it’s a friendship??? Say it is a friendship na. I think it’s a friendship means what?”
Post this, Varun smiled in agreement and stated,” It’s a friendship more than a romantic bond.” Then, Alia asked to change the question and concluded, “I am sure at some point…we will not say it here but mainly in life we are friends. I don’t think you can not have a crush.” Finally, Aditya came to their rescue and summed it up by saying it’s “Ishq-complicated” and both of them agreed.
Well, we think Varun-Alia will always be one of the cutest couples on-screen irrespective of their off-screen relationship status (Varun is in a serious relationship with Natasha Dalal, whereas Alia is currently seeing Ranbir Kapoor).
