Alia Bhatt Upcoming Movies: 4 stellar releases in 2019

Alia Bhatt had only one release this year with Raazi but we are sure that the talent powerhouse will win every possible award for her brilliant portrayal as Indian spy Sehmat for this thriller drama. Though many of you Alia fans might have been disappointed that your favourite star had only one silver screen appearance in 2018 but we have an update for you which will definitely bring a huge smile to your faces.

Not one or two but the SOTY actress will have 4 releases in 2019, which are Gully Boy, Kalank, Sadak 2 and Brahmastra. Now isn’t that great news? With these releases, we are sure that the 25-year-old will become the box office queen.

Gully Boy – February 14

Gully Boy will mark the first collaboration between Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, where the Padmaavat star will essay the role of a rapper. The Zoya Akhtar directorial venture is bankrolled under the banner of Excel Entertainment. It is based on the life of Naezy aka Naved Shaikh, who is a gully rapper from the Kurla slum.

Kalank – April 19

The multi-starrer film also features Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Madhuri Dixit in pivotal roles. The cross-border period drama is directed by 2 States helmer Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar.

Sadak 2 – November 15

Alia Bhatt will again share screen-space with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in Sadak 2. The thriller drama also stars Pooja Bhatt and marks the return of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt after 20 long years.

Brahmastra – December 20

Brahmastra will definitely be a special project for Alia as she’ll be pairing up, for the first time, with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in this superhero film. The film was earlier supposed to release on August 15 but due to incompletion of VFX work, the makers have pushed it to December. The film is directed by Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani helmer Ayan Mukerji and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in key roles.
