The new images of Mahindra Scorpio have surfaced and the SUV looks bigger and bolder than ever. This is for the very first time since 2002 when Scorpio was first launched in India that the SUV is going through such a huge makeover.
As the latest images suggest, the SUV will have a bigger footprint in comparison to the current version. New Scorpio will come with the new front grill, vertical slats, new headlamps, and co-remodeled twin-pod headlamps.
The Mahindra has given Scorpio a long bonnet and a new front bumper with wide air intake. If you talk about the rear, the car has features such as a large side-hinged tailgate, LED taillights, and roof-mounted stop lamps.
Talking about the interior, the new generation Scorpio incorporates a number of new features including a new dashboard, multi-functional steering wheel, new touch screen infotainment system, multi-colored speedometer, new rear AC vents, and a sunroof.
According to many reports, the company will use a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine in the new Scorpio. Which will be able to provide the power of around 158bhp. Its transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. Apart from this engine, the company can also power a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which will produce 150bhp and 320nm of torque.
New Scorpio is expected to be launch in the Indian market next year. And according to rumors, this new-gen SUV will be named ‘Scorpio Sting’.
