Union Home Minister Amit Shah‘s virtual rally in Bihar will be conducted on June 7 now. Earlier, it was scheduled to be conducted on June 9. The rally is scheduled at 4 pm where Shah will connect with the common people and Bihar activists virtually through a digital mean.

A section of the BJP feels Nitish Kumar has been drawing a lot of criticism because he handled the migrant crisis, which could harm the BJP’s prospects in Bihar.

Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey took to Twitter informing about the change.

With the change in date of the virtual rally of Amit Shah, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has also changed the date of ‘Gareeb Adhikar Diwas’ which was planned to counteract the rally of Amit Shah. ‘Gareeb Adhikar Diwas’ will be held on June 7 now.

Tejashwi Yadav believes that the change in dates by BJP is the result of the pressure they are in due to RJD.

In a tweet, Tejashwi Yadav said, “Under RJD pressure, BJP has decided to hold the proposed June 9 virtual rally on June 7. People are dying of corona and hunger but BJP is rallying. In retaliation for their insensitivity, RJD will also celebrate “Gareeb Adhikar Diwas” on June 7 itself. All Biharis will play thali-bowl on that day.

BJP State President Dr Sanjay Jaiswal said that the coronavirus pandemic has also impacted political campaigns. Therefore, this year party officials will interact with the workers virtually through video conferencing. The rally will also be broadcasted on TV screens. The programme will follow the social distancing norms and the common people will be able to see.

Bihar Legislative Assembly elections will be held in Bihar in October 2020 to elect 243 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The term of the current assembly elected in 2015 will expire on 29 November 2020. This will be a fight between JDU led NDA and RJD led UPA.
