Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has officially appointed Congress leader Kamal Nath as Chief Minister. An official letter from the Governor has confirmed his appointment.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday officially announced Kamal Nath Name for the Cm post. In the day-long meeting held at AICC Headquarter in Delhi, speculations were high over the name of next CM of Madhya Pradesh.
Congress has won 114 seats and claimed the support of a total of 122 MLAs to the governor.
Around 11:14 pm at night on Thursday, Indian National Congress official Twitter handle confirmed Kama Nath as official CM candidate. It said, “Our best wishes to Kamal Nath for being elected CM of Madhya Pradesh. An era of change is upon MP with him at the helm.”
