New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) Ajay Piramal-led design university — Anant National University (AnantU) — has approached the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to transform any vacant space into Covid-19 recovery facility.
The transformation could be done free of cost in 3-5 days by AnantU.
AnantU has submitted a detailed plan to the PMO as well as private builders to scale up Covid-19 recovery facilities by using existing infrastructure – government-owned, community-owned, private buildings – and turning them into Covid-19 recovery facilities with ICUs.
According to statement, the implementation plan includes layouts for different types of spaces along with divisions for patients, like asymptomatic but Covid-19 positive, with mild symptoms, with moderate symptoms and with severe symptoms.
The AnantU’s Centre for Sustainability has gone one step ahead and curated a 360-degree approach.
The implementation plan has structured a PPP model that incentivises private builders to give their commercial and residential buildings. Keeping in mind both the short- and long-term implications, the AnantU team has chalked out low-cost solutions.
