"Another paid gaddar", tweets BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde referring to Sasikanth Senthil

Uttara Kannada BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde on Sunday said that if the IAS officer who quit his job over Article 370 could call the government fascist, he has all right to call him “another paid gaddar.”

Referring to IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil who submitted his resignation last week, Hegde said that the officer was “dancing to the tunes set by his real paymasters.”

Taking to the Twitter, he condemned Senthil’s resignation saying, “If this guy can conclude that the Union Government is fascist; then we have the liberty to call him another paid gaddar, dancing to the tunes set by his real paymasters! This may be the debate he wants to initiate!”

In another tweet, Anantkumar Hegde tagged Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa and said, “The state government should realise that it should have sacked him after he opened his polluted mindset against the Union Government. But cajoling this gaddar to return, amounts to treacherous act against the nation.”

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil resigned from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) on Friday. Citing personal reasons, Senthil, in a statement, said his decision is “in no way connected to anyone or to any event in my current profile”.

Senthil, however, claimed that it is “unethical” for him to continue in his line of duty “as a civil servant in the government when the fundamental building blocks of our diverse democracy are being compromised in an unprecedented manner”.

In an interview to a media website, Senthil said that the abrogation of Article 370 made him realise the kind of political framework which was being pushed on the nation.
