New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Labour Affairs Raghuraj Singh made another shocking comment that ‘anti-nationals’ on Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus will be given ‘kutte ki maut’.

Singh intimidated to bury those people who will raise their voice, shouting slogans against PM Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath earlier this month on January 13.

While he was addressing a rally in Aligarh to gather backing for the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) 2019, he said, “If you raise slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, I will bury you alive.”

Meanwhile, a video is out showing Singh addressing a group of supporters, saying that if they wish to change the name of the Aligarh Muslim University to ‘Hindustan University’, can change it whenever they want.

He added that if the ‘anti-nationals’ on the AMU campus wishes to move to Pakistan, they can be sent. But, it is not allowed to speak against the nation while living on the largesse of the people here.

“These one per cent people are opposing the CAA. They stay in India, eat up our taxes and then raise ‘murdabad’ slogans against the leaders. This country belongs to people of all faiths, but slogan-shouting against the prime minister or chief minister is unacceptable.”

Meanwhile, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) continues to simmer with discontent after nearly 700 students, on Tuesday evening, gathered at the university canteen, demanding the release of anti-CAA activist and JNU student Sharjeel Imam, who was arrested on charges of sedition, from Bihar’s Jehanabad district.

The Aligarh police, meanwhile, have registered an FIR against 700 unidentified students of AMU for violating prohibitory orders by blocking a road near Chungi gate in the city on Sunday evening. The blockade by the students continued until the next day.
