Nitesh Pandey, who was last seen in the Star Plus television series Anupamaa, died at age 51. He portrayed Dheeraj Kapoor in Rupali Ganguly’s popular programme. According to reports, he suffered a cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, Maharashtra.
According to producer JD Majethia, Nitesh was travelling for business when he passed away.
“Television actor Nitesh Pandey was discovered deceased in a hotel in Igatpuri, Nashik, Maharashtra. The apparent cause of mortality appears to have been a heart attack. A police team is present and conducting an investigation at the hotel. An autopsy report is awaited. The hotel staff and persons close to him are being questioned, according to the ANI news agency. The sad news follows the deaths of Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai heroine Vaibhavi Upadhyay and model Aditya Singh Rajput.
Mourning the loss, actor Deven Bhojani tweeted, “This can’t be true but it is. Friend, colleague and a talented actor Nitesh Pandey dies of cardiac arrest at 2am today in Igatpuri. Rest in peace Nitesh 🙏🏻 #Actor #Anupama.”
He also added, “The day began with two really sad news. Deaths of two very talented people. Had opportunities to direct both of them. Vaibhavi Upadhyay in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Nitesh Pandey in a mythological show of Star network. Vaibhavi met with an accident last evening in North India and Nitesh passed away today at 2am due to cardiac arrest in Igatpuri. Life can be so unpredictable. May God bless their souls 🙏🏻.” On the other hand, actor Rajeshwri Sachdev tweeted, “#NiteshPandey … gone too soon! Shocking! Rest in eternal peace 🙏🙏🙏.”

In his 25 years as an actor, Nitesh has primarily appeared on television. His work on programmes such as Asitva Ek Prem Kahani, Tejas, Saaya, Justajoo, and Durgesh Nandini has earned him widespread recognition. He has also appeared in a number of films, including, among others, Om Shanti Om, Badhaai Do, Rangoon, Madaari, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, and Dabangg 2. In his personal life, he married Ashwini Kalsekar in 1998, but they divorced in 2002. He then wed television actress Arpita Pandey.
