It was reported recently that Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have been locked down as the judges for dance reality show Nach Baliye which will kick off its ninth season soon. If true, this will mark Mira’s foray into the showbiz, and obviously, there is a lot of excitement around it. Meanwhile, another report suggests that makers also approached the ex-couple Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan to co-judge the show.
According to a report in Amar Ujjala, the makers were interested to cash in on the buzz around the ex-couple, also given that the format of the show this time is said to be an amalgamation of celebrities pairing up with their ex-girlfriends and boyfriends instead of their current partner, it is understandable why the makers would want Malaika and Arbaaz on board. But looks like Shahid and Mira have given their nod to the show. They are yet to sign on dotted lines the reports suggested.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Winget along with Sunil Grover will be pairing up as host for the show. Not just that, this season is special for many reasons as it is being speculated that Salman Khan will be co-producing it. The makers are also insisting on having Salman as the judge for the show, another report claims. Coming to the contestants, Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal were reportedly approached for the show but they denied it. Other names to have popped up are that of Kanchi Singh, Rohan Mehta, Drashti Dhami and Neeraj Khemka, Anita Hassanandani and Rohit Reddy among others.
