Arunachal Pradesh: NPP worker allegedly shot dead in Tirap district

On Friday, a National People’s Party (NPP) worker, Jaley Anna has been killed by a suspected NSCN(IM)  member at Kheti village in Arunachal Pradesh, a district official said.

Around 10 PM on Friday, the suspected member of the Isak-Muivah faction of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) assaulted NPP workers- Jaley Anna and his friend Kham Nai Abhi at Kheti village in Tirap district, the official said on condition of anonymity. While Anna died on the spot, Abhi has been admitted to a hospital, he said.

The deceased was a supporter of NPP candidate Tirong Aboh, who is contesting from Khonsa West assembly seat. An FIR has been lodged at Khonsa police station.
