India pacer Avesh Khan has been ruled out of the remainder of Asia Cup 2022 due to illness. Deepak Chahar has been named as replacement in the squad.
Avesh Khan, was down with a fever for the match against Pakistan on Sunday (September 4), has proved to be expensive in the limited opportunities he has got at the international level.
The 25-year-old has played 15 T20Is and picked up 13 wickets at an average of 32.46. His economy rate towards the end of the innings shoots up to over 10 which often cost his IPL franchise as well as Team India in the death overs.
