APSC Recruitment 2019: The applicants have been invited for the recruitment to the Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil) under the Public Works Roads Department posts by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on its official website. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of APSC, apsc.nic.in.
Candidates can apply for the post on or before December 21, 2019.

- Assistant Engineer (Civil) – 156 Posts
- Junior Engineer (Civil) – 307 Posts
Scale of Pay:
- For Assistant Engineer (Civil): Qualified candidates would be hired at a salary between Rs 30,000 to 1,10,000 PB 4 with Grade Pay of Rs 12,700/-plus other allowances as admissible under the rules of the Govt. of Assam.
- For Junior Engineer (Civil): Qualified candidates would be hired at a salary between Rs 14,000 to 49,000 PB 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 8,700/-plus other allowances as admissible under the rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates who are will to apply must be a permanent resident of Assam.
The candidate should produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose as a proof of residency along with the application form.
Educational Qualification for Assistant Engineer (Civil):
- Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a government-approved Indian or foreign university or Passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) with a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India).
- Please note that the degree obtained through the distance education mode is unacceptable.
- In addition to English, candidates should have at least one official language (ie, Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) in Assam, except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Educational Qualification for Junior Engineer (Civil):
- Applicants should obtain a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a government-approved institution.
- The diploma course should be a regular course. Diploma programs obtained through the distance education mode are not accepted.
- In addition to English, candidates should have at least sufficient knowledge of the official language of Assam (ie Assam/Bengali/Bodo), except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Age:
The age of the candidates should between 21 years and 38 years as on 01-01-2019
