Assam TET 2020 application process for HS level to start from tomorrow; Check details

Interested candidates who meet the required eligibility can apply for Assam TET 2020 through the official website of Assam SSA at ssa.assam.gov.in. They can apply from tomorrow i.e., November 20, 2020.

NEW DELHI: The Secondary Education Department of Assam has started the online application process for the Assam Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Higher Secondary level. Interested candidates who meet the required eligibility can apply for Assam TET 2020 through the official website of Assam SSA at ssa.assam.gov.in. They can apply from tomorrow i.e., November 20, 2020.

The deadline to submit online applications for Assam TET 2020 is November 30. Candidates can make fee payments up to December 3. The Assam TET for Higher Secondary level would be conducted on January 10, 2021.

Age Limit

Age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years of age. During appointment in Govt./Prov. Schools’ upper and lower age limit would be applicable as per the Govt. rules/act prevailing at that time.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam

Applicants must possess Post-Graduation with at least 50 % marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teachers Education recognized institution, but degrees secured from off campus and distance education institutions shall not be considered as valid.

(If the Territorial Jurisdiction of the institution is beyond their approved jurisdiction then the Institution and the subject in which the degree is awarded must have the approval of UGC and all other concerned authorities)

Application Fee

Fee payable: Rs 500/- (Rs. Five hundred) only for General candidates and Rs. 300/(Three hundred) only for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC and PWD candidates.
