Assembly Bypolls Election Results 2019 Live Updates: BJD candidate Rita Sahu is leading Bijepur Bypoll race by 59,666 votes

Along with Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Elections, Bypolls across 51 assembly seats, two Lok Sabha constituencies was also conducted across 17 states and one union territory on, Monday, October 21. Assembly elections are also being conducted in Haryana and Maharashtra constituencies.

The most number of seats going to bypolls are in Uttar Pradesh ie 11. These are: Pratapgarh, Zaidpur, Balha, Ghosi, Gangoh, Govind Nagar, Rampur, Iglas, Lucknow Cantonment, Manikpur, Jalalpur. Among these the maximum candidates, 13 each, are from Lucknow Cantonment and Jalalpur assembly constituencies, followed by 12 in Ghosi and 11 each in Gangoh, Pratapgarh and Balha (SC).

A four-cornered contest will be witnessed on all seats of Uttar Pradesh with the BJP, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress trying their luck.
