Once again, the 102-year-old Indian athlete Man Kaur has made every Indian proud after she bagged a gold medal in the 200m event at World Masters Athletics Championship in Malaga, Spain.
Born in 1916, Kaur, who is a world record holder in her age group for several categories, started running in 2009 what she was 93-year-old. Her son, Gurdev Singh, had urged Kaur to take up track and field.
Despite living beyond a hundred years, giving up is not on her mind. This, yet not old athlete, leads a disciplined life which is the reason for her being so healthy even at this age. This is not the first time Kaur has won the medal. Last year, she won gold in 100m event at the World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
Kaur has also won medals in Javelin throw and Shotput. She is targeting a gold medal at the 2020 Masters Games in Japan
Since the news of winning her another gold medal broke, Twitter was poured a raw of praises for this stupendous feat. In fact, History Tv 18 shared a video on their respective Twitter account, featuring Kaur who shares the intricate details of her life and how she turned towards athletics.
