Starring Tovino Thomas with Basil Joseph and Vineeth Sreenivasan, it has slowly started looking like one of Mollywoods most solid openers in 2026 .

Based on early trade reads and industry trackers, Athiradi showed real occupancy growth after the opening weekend and it managed to cross the ₹33 crore mark worldwide, within only three days since release.

From updates on trade portals and entertainment trackers, the film is said to have grown by almost 20% on Saturday when compared to Friday. It reportedly brought in around ₹12 crore India net in three days, while the worldwide total jumped past ₹33.89 crore.

Trade site Sacnilk noted that the movie held steady footfalls in Malayalam belt areas, and that evening and night screenings did even better across the weekend, especially toward late shows.

The movie had already secured one of the biggest openings in Malayalam cinema this year by earning over ₹6 crore India net on Day 1 including paid previews.

The film reportedly registered healthy occupancy numbers across Kerala multiplexes and mass centres:

  • Afternoon Shows: Around 41%
  • Evening Shows: Strong upward trend
  • Night Shows: Best-performing segment

The weekend momentum suggests the film could comfortably cross the ₹50 crore worldwide mark if it maintains the current pace through Sunday and Monday.
