‘Attainable Art’ comes back to Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANSlife) Imagine Fest is back to the capital city bringing in the best art and cultural work from across the country. The cultural fest has a special emphasis on “attainable art”.

The third edition of the two-day art festival will commence over the weekend on February 22-23 at PSOI Club Nehru Park.

“At the Imagine Fest we bring together various forms of alluring art. We aim to demystify art through conducting art walks, inspirational talk sessions by eminent celebrities, art workshops for varying age groups and an enticing array of international cuisines. Our aim at the fest is to make art more accessible to a wider audience and encourage them to revisit the importance and relevance of art in the country.” Says Ruchi Sibal, co-founder of Palate Fest Pvt. The distinctive art festival will feature multiple dynamic art galleries including Art Magnum, Galerie Art Eterne, GallerieNvya, Gallery Vision Art, Easel Stories, Wonderwall, Gallery Latitude 28, Art Centrix Space, Dhoomimal Gallery, Studio Paradise, ArtBuzz Studios, Modern Art Gallery, School of Art, Gallerie Splash, Uchaanand many more showcasing phenomenal artwork from young and upcoming artists. Also several artists will be displaying their work directly these include Harleen Kaur, Yashwant Singh, Sunaina Kohli.

This year, the founders of Imagine Fest are also associating with the NGO – Inside Me, an art school for visually impaired children. Furthermore, there will be artwork and sculptures on display by Ayush Kasliwal whose highly acclaimed work also features at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. He is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and is one of India’s leading design thinkers, practitioners and advocates for artisans.

“People often associate art with being expensive. Contrary to this belief, we curated the biggest art and cultural event with the aim to showcase artwork that is attainable and affordable. We are pleased to present the third edition of HT Imagine Fest, to the people of the city.We deliberately kept entry free to allow a wider audience the opportunity to buy original art pieces that are not only visually appealing but also well priced, ranging from 5 grand to a maximum of 3 lakhs.” says Aditi Kapoor, co-founder of Palate Fest Pvt. Ltd.

Imagine Fest 2020 comprises a series of curated talks and splendid experiences, which will be the major highlights of the event.

On the opening day of the festival, performance by eminent singer and song-writer Adnan Sami will be followed by a performance by Indian music band Swarrveda and Kutla Khan from Jaisalmer who are known to make the audience groove to their eastern melodies.

Imagine fest will also feature the versatile and charismatic Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who will share her knowledge on art during an infortaining talk session. Concluding the festival on an energetic note, MayaBazaar Band with Sudhir Yaduvanshi’s performance will be followed by the Indian sufi and folk musician Rabbi Shergill.

The festival also offers Art Walks by leading and renowned connoisseurs of art like Dikshu Kukreja, Priya Paul and Manuu Mansheet to help people interpret and understand art and guide them to decide which art piece to take home.
