After a man in Tamil Nadu found himself in a tough spot, finding it difficult to have a roof on top and food to eat, he planned his arrest to get those basic amenities.

According to a report in The New Indian Express, on Sunday, around 5 pm, the police control room in Chennai received two phone calls. While one informed the police of an impending bomb blast at Erode Junction railway station, the next phone call announced that a bomb explosion will take place in the bus stand.

Following the phone calls, the police alerted the bomb squad and conducted checks at the places mentioned.

The phone number was traced to Sivakumar who claimed to have given his cell phone to his brother-in-law Linguraj. When the police enquired Linguraj, he said that his phone was stolen a couple of days ago.

The police zeroed in on Santhosh Kumar, who was found sleeping at Erode railway station.

Upon questioning Santhosh revealed that he was working in a private firm in Mettupalayam and had two wives. He was allegedly left by both his wives. As he hated his job, he quit from the same and moved to Erode in search of work. Unemployed and homeless Santhosh plotted his own arrested to get decent meals and a roof over his head.

Santhosh Kumar has been arrested and remanded in police custody.
