In a press conference Goa minister Vishwaji P Rane claimed that the audio tape is doctored. He further slammed Congress, saying, “Congress has stooped to such a low level to doctor a tape to create miscommunication between cabinet and CM”.

Rane’s claims come after the Congress party while talking to media shared a leak audio of Rane, in which he was purportedly heard purportedly sharing details of a 3 hour Cabinet Meeting. In the audio he could be heard sharing that in the meeting the Goa CM revealed he has all the information of Rafale in his bedroom.

“Goa Minister Rane has made sensational revelations. All the Rafale files are with Parrikar. Rane has revealed that everything behind the Rafale deal.”, said Surjewala.

He further added that, “If Modi has nothing to hide, then why those files are in Parrikar’s bedroom which he is using to ensure that nobody does anything to him.”

The Congress asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to submit all the documents related to the purchase of the fighter jets from France to a Joint Parliamentary Committee for a probe.

Rane also said that he has asked Parrikar for a criminal investigation.

“The audio clip released by the congress party is a desperate attempt to fabricate facts after their lies were exposed by the recent Supreme Court verdict on Rafale. No such discussion ever came up during Cabinet or any other meeting,”, tweeted Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
