Gorakhpur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha candidate from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan has souped into trouble over his education status. Santosh Kumar, a Kushinagar resident has filed a complaint to the Gorakhpur election officer that there is a discrepancy in the actor-turned-politician’s affidavit.

According to the complainant, Ravi Kishan’s affidavit shows his education status to be intermediate. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections for Jaunpur constituency, Kishan in his affidavit had said that he has completed his Bachelor in Commerce (B Com) from the Rizvi College of Science & Commerce, Mumbai in 1992-93. While in the polls for the 17th Lok Sabha, the Bhojpuri-Bollywood sensation informed that has just passed 12th standard, in 1990.

Another discrepancy was noted with regards to his age. When Kishan filed his candidature in 2014, his age according to the affidavit was 44. While for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate for Gorakhpur has submitted his age to be 51.
