Bengaluru, April 6 (IANS) The city civic body has made arangements to supply dry ration kits to migrant construction workers, a top official said on Monday.
“A multi-lingual message is going out to these migrants from BBMP and Labour Department which is engaged in distributing dry ration kits,” tweeted Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner B. H. Anil Kumar.
Kumar asked the needy to call a list of numbers given for the purpose.
He shared two posters in English and Hindi containing the details.
“The Labour Department and BBMP have arranged for distribution of dry ration with food grains for the migrant construction labourers,” said the English notice.
Kumar entrusted the respective zone Joint Commissioners across the city to be incharge of the ration distribution, sharing their control room landline numbers.
The civic body zones include West, East, South, Bommanahalli, R. R. Nagar, Dasarahalli, Mahadevapura and Yelahanka.
