All private and public sector banks in India are closed on Sundays, as well as on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Besides this, banks are closed on various public and national and regional public holidays as well.
In the tenth month of the year i.e., October in addition to the regular holidays there shall be a few extra holidays as well given the fact that a few regional festivals would be celebrated. The holiday of banks also varies according to the festival celebrated in different states of the country.
