In a cruel incident, where a woman was stabbed with a knife, a heroic police officer came to her rescue to save her life. Inspector CA Siddalingaiah was inspecting the polling booths in Girinagar area on Thursday evening. He got the news of a woman being stabbed.

The officer rushed to the spot and saw the bleeding woman lying on the street. The onlookers were surrounding her thinking that she was dead. The police officer immediately put her internal organs inside the body and tied a cloth around her stomach to control bleeding and rushed her to the hospital where she was given basic aid.

The woman was then taken in a 108 ambulance to the Victoria Hospital where the doctors were pre-informed of her arrival. As per the reports, the woman was in urgent need of AB+ blood for her treatment and that was also donated by the same police officer who saved her life. Coincidently, the police officer had the same blood group.

An investigation was launched and according to it, the woman is a widow who teaches tuition to children. Two of her students were the son of Hosakerehalli resident Shekhar who attacked the woman with the knife. He was arrested by the Bengaluru police in possession of the knife which he used to stab the woman. On the other hand, the heroic cop was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 by the police department for his efforts to save the life of the woman.
