Popular Bhojpuri actor and Bigg Boss 10 contestant, Monalisa has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Thursday. In an exclusive chat with Saas, Bahu Aur Betiyaan, Monalisa’s husband Vikrant Shingh Rajpoot shared her health update.
Vikrant said, “Yes, Monalisa has tested Covid positive, but she is asymptomatic. She is under home quarantine and receiving medical attention.” Talking about Monalisa’s health, he said, “Monalisa is okay but when people hear about coronavirus, they get hyper. Some people face a lot of problems while some recover fast. At present, Monalisa is fine.”
Monalisa is currently seen on Colors TV’s Namak Issk Ka as Iravati. Since she has tested positive, the cast and crew members of Namak Iss ka will undergo a Covid-19 test and the set will also be sanitised before they resume the shoot.
Amidst a sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, several celebrities have contracted the virus. Recently, Alia Bhatt also tested positive days after her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor recovered from the infection.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, celebs like Salman Khan, Hema Malini, Saif Ali Khan, Kamal Haasan, Johnny Lever, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Malaika Arora among others, had also received the vaccination shots.
