Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jayant Mandal vice president Rajesh Kumar Jha alias Raja Babu has been shot dead when he was on morning by some unidentified miscreants in the capital city, Patna on Thursday. The incident took place near a Sitaram Entertainment Hall in Tej Pratap Nagar area of the city, according to a report in Hindustan.
Police are analysing CCTV footages recorded from cameras installed at multiple angles around the hall. Some suspicious people have also been detained. According to the police, someone close to the BJP leader is involved in the murder.
The incident took place ahead of Bihar Assembly polls that is scheduled for October-November this year.
