Bihar: Kanhiya Kumar detained ahead of CAA protest rally in Champaran

Former JNUSU President and CPI Leader from Begusarai Kanhaiya Kumar will be leading a massive Jan Gan Man Yatra to protest against Citizenship Amendment Act. Jan Gan Man Yatra led by Kanhaiya Kumar is organised to commemorate the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

Kanhaiya Kumar says in his tweet, “ Taking Inspiration from Bapu we have organised a Jan Gan Yatra starting from Bapu Dham in Champaran to Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

In his tweet, Kanhaiya Kumar also mentions How the need for jobs and education is more important than Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Registry of Citizens (NRC), and NPR (National Population Register). Kanhaiya Kumar has been vocal about opposing CAA, NRC, and NPR. The most recent rally that Kanhaiya did was in Gaya, He says, “Es sarkar ka dhol Baja dalo.”

Impressed by the massive turnout at his recent meetings in rallies, Kanhaiya then decided to embark on Jan Gan Man Yatra from Bapudham in Motihari to Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

He says, “I will connect with the people. They need to know how they are discriminated against, left alone and debarred from benefits,” he said at Motihari. The man who was once labeled an anti-national added: “We will carry out our struggle with the tricolor in hand. The BJP preaches an end to parivaarvad (dynasts) but the same party is riven with parivaars.”
