Bihar: Disappointed by state's condition, youth leader offers 'Pind Daan' for CM Nitish Kumar

Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 are slated for October-November. Amid the ongoing tussle of seats and politicians expressing their disappointment from the Nitish-led government, a youth leader, Chitaranjan Kumar from Bihar’s Wazirganj Constituency offered ‘Pind Daan’ (a ritual which is conducted after the Cremation of an individual) for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at Gaya Sita Kund.

Popularly known as Chintu Bhaiya, the youth leader from Sablog Party believes that given the current situation of Bihar, it seems the CM is no more.

In a now deleted Facebook post, Chitaranjan wrote, “The public is in a panic due to the increase in crime rate and economic chaos is at its peak. The Chief Minister has not done any work on the ground level and it seems as if the Honorable Chief Minister has passed away.”

“By offering Pind Daan, at least the false hope will end and we will start fresh for the overall development of Magadh as well as the whole of Bihar”, the youth leader further added.

Chitranjan Kumar aka Chintu Bhaiya has been an active youth leader of Wazirganj which is an assembly constituency for the Bihar Legislative Assembly in the Gaya district. The Indian National Congress is the ruling party in the constitution.

With the date for the announcement of the assembly election drawing closer, Bihar chief minister is inaugurating new development schemes, launching completed ones, and making on-the-spot visits to review the progress of ongoing flagship schemes at great speed.

CM has inaugurated or launched schemes and projects worth Rs 60,000-crore involving departments of rural development, power, water resources, education, environment, road, and the flagship ‘seven resolves’ to present his government’s development-face before the elections. The schemes cover the length and breadth of the state.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for seven urban infrastructure projects in Bihar through video conferencing. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was also present on the occasion.
