Bihar educational institutions gearing up to conduct offline exams

Patna: The higher educational institutions and universities across the state are gearing up to hold the exams by following the Centre’s guidelines in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will conduct the final year exams of BA, MA, diploma and certificate programmes from September 17 to October 16. About 47,715 students will appear for the final year exams, its regional director Abhilash Nayak said on Wednesday.

“We have conducted the orientation session with the centre superintendents about the exam protocol and seating arrangements,” he said.

Patna University (PU) will be going to conduct the remaining papers of final year exams from September 21. Magadh Mahila College principal Shashi Sharma said all arrangements and precautionary measures had been made during the NEET exam itself.

Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University will be conducting the PG final year exams from September 19.

Patna Women’s College will hold the final exams of II and IV semesters from October 5 to October 21.

According to the notice issued by its principal, students of semester II of UG, PG and BEd would appear for offline exams from October 6 to 21 whereas for semester IV, the exams will be held from October 5 to 14.

Patliputra University, however, has not issued the exam dates till now.
