In a shocking turn of event, the body of a young man was recovered from Kushwaha hostel in Motihari on Tuesday, Feb 4. It was told that the young man was beaten to death on suspicion of theft.
Police arrived on the information of the incident. The investigation of the case has started. According to the information received, the youth had reached Kushwaha hostel at around three-four in the morning with the intention of stealing.
The sound of the dogs barking opened the sleep of the students living in the hostel. After this, the students grabbed the young man and tied him with a rope and beat him fiercely, which led to his death.
Police said the young man appears to be a thieve. He had arrived there to steal. The post-mortem report is awaited and it will reveal the exact reason of death.
This is not the first time such incident has come to light, earlier also a man in the Sonamura sub-division of the Sepahijala district of Tripura has been allegedly lynched to death on suspicion of cattle theft.
