Bihar: Out on marriage procession, groom shot dead in Patna

In an appalling incident, the groom who was in the temple to worship before his marriage procession was shot dead. The incident is from Saidpur village in Salimpur police station area.

As per media reports, the land dispute between uncle and nephew are being told behind the incident.

Patna Rural SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra said that the cousin of the deceased Niranjan has carried out this incident in the land dispute. He said that police of many police stations are conducting raids to arrest the accused and he will be arrested soon.

According to the police chief Gaurav Sindhu, the family told that cousin Rudal Rai carried out the incident. According to the villagers, the procession was about to leave the village in 20 minutes, but the four cousins allegedly shot the groom.

The maternal uncle of the deceased groom, Niranjan went to worship in the temple before the procession. Some time ago, Niranjan came out of the house wearing a mauri in a shoot, but as soon as the worshipers came out, a number of 10 surrounded the criminals and took Niranjan away from there.

After some time, people saw that the criminals escaped after shooting Niranjan next to the temple. The investigation into the matter is underway.
