Bihar: Patna to have CNG filling stations soon

PatnaBihar government has taken 12 decisions concerned to various fields at a cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. State capital Patna is set to get Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities for mobility of vehicles. This decision was taken by the Bihar cabinet. A CNG station will come up at Phulwarisharif in Patna.

As per information from Cabinet Secretariat department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar- Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) would be given 1.5 acres from the land belonging to the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation’s workshop located at Phulwarisharif. The land will be transferred to GAIL India on the payment of Rs 46.40 crore

The capital city, whose air quality has worsened in the recent past, topped the Central Pollution Control Board’s air quality index on three consecutive days from January 1, 2019. In the past few months, there has been a substantial dip in the state’s air quality. This is aimed at lowering the pollution of the state capital.

On the occasion of Guruparv being organised between January 11-13 to celebrate the 352nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the government has sanctioned Rs 8.20 crore for construction of a temporary tent city at Kangan Ghat.

Compensation would be given to farmers for their crop damage due to the construction of a tent city on their land.

The cabinet also sanctioned Rs 725.97 crore as loan to Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) and Vyapar Mandal from Bihar Contingency Fund to ensure the Minimum Support Price to the farmers to counter distress selling.

7.5 acres of land was sanctioned by the cabinet for Engineering colleges, in Gopalganj and Jahanabad districts. The nod was for Engineering college building and premises. Kuchaikot in Gopalganj and Hulasganj in Jehanabad will have institutions. Land department has been given the responsibility for further formalities.

There will be the recruitment of 456 constables by the transport department which was sanctioned by Bihar cabinet.
